OurCrossword is a product of EMSERO LLC. It turns the private details of a relationship, family, or team into a crossword people actually enjoy solving — without an account or a subscription.
You supply the words and clues (or use the optional helper). You approve everything. You get a shareable solving link that works on any phone or computer, plus a print-ready PDF with the blank puzzle and answer key. One payment of $14 for the criss-cross, $49 for the 15×15.

Frequently asked questions
How many words should I use?
Most people get the best results with 8–18 words. Fewer than 6 and the grid can feel sparse; more than about 25 is a longer solve. The builder allows up to 40.
Do I need an account?
No. One payment, no subscription, no login.
Can I edit the puzzle after I pay?
Title and clues can be fixed from the puzzle page (Fix a typo). The letters in the grid stay put so the shareable link stays the same. Email hello@ourcrossword.com if you need more help.
How does the shareable link work?
Anyone with the link can solve it on a phone or computer. No app or account. You also get a print-ready PDF (blank puzzle and answer key) plus .puz and iPuz files for crossword apps.
Can the puzzle hide a secret message?
Yes. Marked squares can spell a message when the puzzle is solved — a proposal, a new last name, an inside joke. The builder tells you if a letter is missing from your words.
Is the AI helper required?
No. You can write every clue yourself. The optional helper drafts suggestions from a short description of the occasion; you review and approve every clue before paying.
Can I schedule when the recipient gets the email?
Yes. On the Pay screen you can pick a date and time (your timezone). If you only enter a date at checkout, we email them at 9:00 AM Eastern that morning. A missing or past time sends it right away.
What if I change my mind about the words?
You approve the words and clues before payment, and you can preview for free. Refunds are for technical problems only: the link or PDF doesn’t work, or you were charged more than once. Full refund within 14 days — email hello@ourcrossword.com.
Will this work for a wedding or a large event?
Yes. Print as many copies as you need from the PDF, or share the one link. Tables can solve during cocktail hour.
Is there a larger grid?
Yes — a 15×15 American-style grid is $49. The standard criss-cross is $14.
